Syria 50 Pounds 1998

The 1998 50 Syrian Pound note features a medieval Arabic astrolabe and the Citadel of Aleppo on the obverse, with a stadium and the Al-Assad National Library on the reverse. It measures 150 mm by 75 mm, with a filigree of an Arabian horse’s head and a security thread with text visible under light.
